Hi! I'm Madison
I am from a small town in the coal region of Pennsylvania, where I grew up, and I had no clue what I was interested in doing growing up. In high school, though, diving into sports and different classes to build interest in various fields, I fell in love with the arts. While in high school, I dipped into many other art mediums, whether drawing, painting, or ceramics, and eventually moved on to digital. Then, applying to college and declaring my major, I decided to declare a BFA Graphic Design major with a minor in photography. I'm attending Marywood University, starting in the fall of 2023 and graduating in the spring of 2027.
My portfolio dives into my art projects, whether for the start of my college education, with my introduction courses, my work on the side, or school opportunities. Another feature in my portfolio is a small description of my semester abroad in the spring of 2025, which occurred in London at the University of Westminster. In my art, I also look for a way to see myself succeed, whether by expressing myself or presenting creative projects for others. I inspire my work to guide others interested in pursuing it, express the whole meaning behind it, and create a product that I genuinely love. As a growing designer, I continue to work on not being a perfectionist and try to execute my projects on the first go, as not everything will be perfect on the first go. Authentic pieces take time and always have room to change and grow while making them. Relating this to my major is to express and show how I have the chance to make advertisements, commercials, products, and into my minor a little bit, take photographs.
I have developed a strong interest in and love for sports media. I follow various media accounts to see other artists' work displayed daily, whether in posters, new achievements, photographs, or other forms, to be inspired or stay up to date with trends. When looking for opportunities, I plan to search on Teamwork Online and LinkedIn to put myself out there and seek hands-on experience in sports media. While it is still all in the works, it is my current goal and one I see myself striving for over the next couple of years.
