This project involved designing a magazine spread that explored typographic hierarchy, readability, and visual storytelling. The goal was to create a layout that communicates content clearly while maintaining aesthetic appeal and dynamic flow.
I began by analyzing typefaces, size contrasts, and spacing to establish a clear hierarchy between headlines, subheadings, body text, and captions. Grids and alignment were used to structure the page and guide the reader’s eye naturally through the content. Emphasis was placed on pairing typography with imagery and white space to create balance, rhythm, and visual interest.
The project strengthened my understanding of editorial design principles, including typographic scale, alignment, and the relationship between text and imagery. It demonstrates my ability to design layouts that are both functional and visually engaging, using typography as a central tool for communication.
